This is a cone.
It has 2 faces and 1 edge.


This is a cube.
It has 6 faces , 8 corners and 12 edges.
All faces are squares.




This is a cuboid.
It has 6 faces , 8 corners and 12 edges.
All faces are rectangle.



This is a cylinder.
It has 3 faces and 2 edges.



This is a pyramid.
It has 5 faces , 5 corners and 8 edges.


This is a sphere.
It has 1 face and 0 edges

Mathematic 2D and 3D shapes (introduction)

The best way to introduce new concepts to youngster is to include pictures and songs. It is much more easier to remember with pictures and songs. I find these two clips from youtube in particular, very attractive and able to capture their attention easily.
